I play arcade-style video games (mostly fighting games) and have several arcade controllers on a shelf. I wanted a clip to latch onto my shelves that would hold the detachable wires for each controller, so I made this simple clip.
This is designed for shelves that are 0.500″ (1/2″) thick. This clip will work on shelves that are as thin as 0.375″ (3/8″), though. It has not been tested on any shelf thicker than 0.500″, and even at that thickness it was designed to be a little tight. The gap on the clip is undersized so it can grip the shelf when installed.
I printed with PLA, but this should theoretically work with just about any filament as the functionality is mainly in the design. I recommend a plastic that’s at least somewhat flexible, so just about any standard 3D printing filament should work.
