So it turns out my hands are too big for the Valve Index controllers to be comfortable or even usable.
It’s not possible to reach the lower buttons and touchpad with my thumb…
Luckily Valve did provide the files for a grip extension,
(Should’ve been in the box as a molded part in the first place…)
but they made the inside as a honeycomb which is just stupid for 3D printing.
I have seen other smoothed grips here on Thingiverse but those were all just a bit too rough.
So here is my version.
Still not perfectly smooth, but you will not be able to see any bumps on the printed part!
With those in place, i can reach all the buttons without pain and even longer sessions do not result in cramped up hands.
