I took the mounting from the gopro hero 5 file, and took the shell of a gopro from the gopro case model, and combined them. I added a ring large enough to accommodate nd filters as well as one to fit snuggly on the naked gopro lens and flattened sides for easier printing.
PSA: I downloaded fusion 360 yesterday and I have around 3 hours of experience in 3d modeling. I was only able to work with the stl files and thus had trouble manipulating the mesh. I got there in the end with some funky work but I think it should work well. One thing to note though is that the original glide mount has a pass through hole for the middle screw for a screw driver. I could not figure out how to make a hole in a mesh mount so I resorted to ignoring it. Otherwise this mount should be full functional. I’ve also never 3d printed anything before but I’d recommend printing with the left side (as seen from the front) down with supports (I have no clue what I’m talking about). TPU would definitely be the best option. Let me know if you print it and how it goes so I know if I can get it printed by some service without wasting money. I also have a model without the lens ring if so desired. Let me know if thats something you’re interested in. Thanks for reading!
