COVID-19 Mask Cap, Optimus Prime Edition

Replacement cap for LaFactoria3D’s COVID-19 MASK

While printing mask parts for Lowell Makes I wanted to find some way to help healthcare workers relieve some stress. Making replaceable caps seems the best way to offer an adjustment; these clip right onto existing masks without interfering with function and maybe they can lighten the mood in pediatrics.

This is my third model: the Optimus Prime version. It clips in place of the existing cap, is lightweight, doesn’t interfere with airflow, but probably won’t fit under a face shield. I have yet to print a test of this one, but I plan to divide it into more easily printed pieces shortly so I can evaluate vision interference, weight, etc. I doubt if I got the first pass of this one right, but wanted to get it out there right away (and don’t want to be sharing just villains, right?)

If you find any issues with it or think of ways to improve its design, please let me know. Feel free to modify this and share it to the community.
