Replacement cap for LaFactoria3D’s COVID-19 MASK
While printing mask parts for Lowell Makes I wanted to find some way to help healthcare workers relieve some stress. Making replaceable caps seems the best way to offer an adjustment; these clip right onto existing masks without interfering with function and maybe they can lighten the mood in pediatrics.
This is my second model: the Bane version. It clips in place of the existing cap, doesn’t interfere with airflow, and should fit under face shields. I have yet to test this one as it’s likely to require a lot of supports, but I will update this soon with the pipes separate so will be easier to print with FDM printers.
If you find any issues with it or think of ways to improve its design, please let me know. Feel free to modify this and share it to the community.
