Two parts that make it possible for you to buy filament without spools and don’t having to wind it up.
Assembly Instructions
Grab an empty spool of tianse filament and cut it on the side which is a little bit larger (you can check that by printing at least one of the part first and inserting it into both sides of the spool. For me it was the side with the tianse logo on it.). I used a relatively wide cable tie as a spacer and a hacksaw (for cutting metall) to cut the spool:
After cutting I sanded both pieces of the spool. It should look something like this:
Now it’s time to insert your 3D-printed parts. (Note that the piece inner.stl
should go into the taller piece of the spool and fit tightly as it makes the use much easier):
Done!
Now you can buy filament without spools and having to wind it up on a different spool.
To use it you can simply lay the filament in the taller piece of the spool and screwing the outher pice onto it.
