Breathing Ventilator

Ventilator outline

I built this motorized resuscitator/Ventilator over the past 10 days. It uses a very readily available 1500ml emergency (Bagger) manual resuscitator (which can have oxygen connected to it) and is driven by a very common and inexpensive automotive wiper motor. All the main parts were designed in SolidWorks and printed on my Prusa 3D printer out of Pet G plastic. You can manually adjust the frequency (breaths per min) and the volume of air per breath. At a rate of 13 BrPM the fully charged 5ah battery should last about 10 Hr. The purpose for me building this was to help assist someone to breathe if they contracted the COVID-19 virus. If anyone would like to build one of these, I can supply all the 3D STL files and a parts list free of charge, just keep in mind that there is about 48hr of printing time for this.

The ventilator is still in development and is advised as a “last resort device”
