This is a remix of the face shield deisgn by 3DVerkstan. In the picture, the shield on the left is the remixed shield, on the right is the original 3DVerkstan shield.
After printing many of the full sized shields I was contacted by someone who runs a lab of Flash Forge Finders. These printers have a build volume of 140mm x 140mm. I had trouble finding any designs online to fit these smaller machines so I squished and shortened the 3DVerkstan design to fit the smaller build plate.
An elastic or two is required to snug up the shield against the face. The shorter arms tend to push the shield forward off of the head without the elastics holding it on. Any sort of elastic material will work fine for behind the head.
Despite the smaller size the shield is directly comparable, in terms of comfort, to the 3DVerkstan design. Prints in ~25 minutes.
Right now the pegs which attach to the transparency sheet do not line up with any standard hole punch (that I’m aware of). I am remixing another to correct the pegs to fit a US style hole punch. I wanted to get it posted before I completed that work in case others in countries with different hole punches wanted to remix for their region.
