In Italië worden ruim 500 patiënten met het coronavirus beamend via een snorkelmasker. Dokter Renato Favero nam hiervoor contact op met een start-up in 3D-printing, die kleppen had ontwikkeld voor beademingsapparatuur. Met de kleppen kon het snorkelmasker worden omgebouwd tot een beademingsmasker.
