READ BEFORE USE!!!
Hi there. I have created this mask for those, who have no commercial respirator but have an oportunity to create it. ALL USES ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK! This mask is not tested and it highly depends how well you make it.
Mask part is in two sizes – M and L – M is for average people. Print it with flexfill 98A or another flexible material. I have printed it on flat side with supports on bed only, overhang 30°, two perimeters, five bottom and top layers and 40%infill. After printing finish it well with sharp knife, so the treads and face rim is clear with no warps or overhanging material. Now this is important: TEST YOUR MASK. Put it on your face and cover tightly all inlet holes. Now take deep breath. If you can get any air, something is wrong. You can add sealing tape on rim and increase sealing of mask, but test it again and again and even while you wear it.
Outlet membrane is also printed with flexfill. Tighten it with M3 bolt and nut or similar. I highly recommend put there a piece of protection fiber from inside as it is on picture above. This is to protect other people from you. This part is not working as I would like to, it is there just to save filters a little while breathing out. There is huge space to improve.
Filters are printed with PETG. The grid must be placed with flat side out to offset filtering material from inlet hole. Otherwise you will have low air flow and your mask will be unusable. Filters are designed to use 4-5 cosmetic cotton pads to be easy to change after each use. I use four with a layer of vacuum cleaner bag fiber. But you can put there paper, cotton, coal, copper sawdust, whatever you know that works…
Complete mask is tighten to head with two flat rubber stripes. There is also tightening clip part, you may use it as you wish, but allways tighten it well to your head and before each use test it again.
I have uploaded step file of filters and f3d files of masks (export to step was unsuccesfull, sorry), so change it as you think it would be better for you. My wish is to help someone with this project. Good luck in these hard times.
