This is a stable, wide 60mm base, remixed from M3DM’s wonderful dead tree model, designed to fit the 3″-5″ deciduous tree armatures by Woodland Scenics.
The 60mm base has the more detailed tree roots from M3DM’s model, plus dirt texture and some small stones. A hole on the underside fits a small rare earth magnet, for easy transport. I plan to use mine for cherry blossom trees, where the extended base size can be used for petal scatter on the ground.
There’s not much difference between printing at 0.1mm layers and 0.2mm layers – as shown in the photo with two trees. 0.1mm layer print is on the left.
