Recent releases from the map archives of our local system have revealed planetary reconnaissance of unprecedented scope and detail. New color-infrared imagery at 25cm, and in stereo, can guide ground-level tactics like never before. Now, the race is on stake claims on the newly mapped regions.

I… do not know much about RPGs, and fall into the camp of ‘what exactly is a battle map?’, but I do like the prompt and the excuse to try out some different styles and ideas. Would something like this work as an exploration map? The scale here is closer to 1″ = 500m. Thanks!
