Crock Pot Slow Cooker Lid Handle

large_preview_20200224_190036.jpg

The OEM Crock Pot handles are made of thin polycarbonate that turns brittle and cracks over time. This is a durable replacement that should hold up over time when printed with PETG and using a stainless steel bolt and nut.

Requires a stainless steel 25mm M5-0.8 bolt and nut.Examples:

The bushing/washer may come in different sizes to fit the hole in the glass lid. I have provided 6mm and 8mm versions to fit your needs.

The hexagonal plug is optional, but helps finish off the look of the handle. With the natural elephant foot effect of most 3D printers, you can achieve a tight fit by tapping it into place with a small hammer until it’s firmly seated, then sand it flush. You could also optionally sand off the layer lines and tight angles of the bevels if the 3D printed look doesn’t suit you.

These models use a sacrificial layer above the hex cutouts to avoid the use of supports during printing.
