This is a 3d model for the rail i designed to correctly hold an LED strip and strip of paper underneath my pro-ject acrylic platter. I’m unsure how this will work on other platters and turntables, but for the pro-ject DC turntable with the acrylic platter, this model should fit perfectly.
The 3d model is pretty rough/draft-y asi never intended on publishing this, but a few people requested i upload it, so i’ve included the inventor ipt file as well for anyone who wishes to modify/refine it.
After printing this rail, it should be placed underneath the platter as seen in the photos. the LED strip should sit in the groove easily and should be cut to size appropriately. For the paper strip light diffuser, just experiment with different strip widths and secure the strip in the groove infront of the LED strip. It is a bit more fiddly to place the paper strip in this groove, however it can be done with some patience lol, (you might want to use tape or glu-tact to further secure it).
