This balisong trainer is designed to be actually flippable, and features 138mm long channel style handles with “trident” design. Atrain uses zen pin construction and even with light weight, feels neutral and natural to flip. Blade also features “trident” design.
“Trident” design was first published buy Reddit user u/ erkush and was then 3D modeled by me.
Name Atrain is Finnish and means trident. Because Squid Industries have balisong model called Trident,I decided to change original design name to avoid confusion.
Print one blade, and two handles mirroring one. Inventor output .STL models on 10% scale, so you need to scale this model up 10x. See optimal printing position on picture 2e.
To make this model, you need:
4X M3 nuts
4X M3X12 countersink screws
4X M3 washers, 0.5mm thick
Assemble with locktite and lube pivots. Do not over tighten zen pins, because it will prevent balisong to swinging free.
