
This thing is a storage box for a removable dental appliance used to help correct an “overbite”. We needed a second box for my daughter’s appliance and we could’nt find any small one in stores. Too bad, I had to design one 😉
I have no credit here: I made the hinges as shown in the tutorial How to 3D Model a Hinged Box for 3D Printing from the YouTube channel Product Design Online.
I used PETG for its food grade characteristic and also it is best for snap fit things. The box size when closed is 70mm wide, 60mm depth and 35mm high.
No support required for the hinge but you need some under the closing latch.
