HONEYVILLE, Box Elder County — Authorities have identified a 51-year-old Logan woman who died at Crystal Hot Springs Saturday.
Christina Bailey, 51, was visiting the popular area with a friend when witnesses saw her struggling in the water, the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Teenagers in the hot spring called for help and Bailey was taken out of the pool and given CPR, authorities said. She was then taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
It is unknown what caused Bailey to have problems in the pool, authorities said, and investigators cannot confirm whether the cause of death was drowning or another medical issue until an autopsy is conducted.
