I use a lot of dovetails in my die designs since we can use wire edm to cut slipp and press fits. I wanted to make a dovetail template that I could apply to the prototypes as well. Ive included a drawing specific to 3d printing that you can print out if that helps.
This explores your printers ability to print slip and press fit dovetails. And just like if this was wire EDMed out of too steel the initial fit will be press fit move the two pieces together and see how they wear into each other. The initial fit will be press however as the two parts move it will expand to a slip fit.
