Duet Maestro Case for Robo R1

V2 addresses some fitment issues, along with now being printable on the Prusa Mini.

I designed this as a case for converting my Robo R1+ to a Duet Maestro. It is designed to be bolted to the main (lower) case of the Robo, but is easily adaptable for many mounting solutions as there are 2 ways to get wires into the case. I tried to design it where you can re-use as much as of the original Robo wiring as possible, though some new wires may be needed. My wiring is not original when I did this upgrade, so I can’t comment for sure what wiring work may be needed.

Installation is self explanatory. You will need to drill/cut a hole in the top cover of the Robo to allow wires to go through the back access.

Please see my other things for more conversion parts for the R1 upgrade/rebuild, including a new carriage for Titan Volcano + BLTouch and new X idler and motor mounts.

I designed the cover to be flat so you can cut a clear cover from plexiglass to look awesome. I also included a simple extruded cover to be 3D printed.

Print with NO SUPPORTS. I would advise you have your bridging tuned before printing this.

There is a little built in support where the USB port is. You can cut that out or leave it, doesn’t matter.

I would print with PETG as PLA can be too stiff to properly use the reset button, as it relies on the case flexing a bit for use. You may need to trim/sand the contact portion of the case for the reset button to avoid accidentally resetting the Maestro.

The active board cooling utilizes a 5015 fan bolted onto the side opposite the reset button/ethernet/USB/sd card. The fan was kept external to facilitate easy maintenance/replacement of the fan.
