Alternate case for Xiaomi Motion Sensor Motherboard with CR123 battery holder

This is an alternate case I made for the Xiaomi Mijia Motion Sensor motherboard.

The battery terminals need to be removed from the motherboard and wires soldered on which then run down the back of the main case where you can attach the positive and negative 3d printed battery terminals.

I just ran wire through the 4 pins on each battery terminal which I’ve found is plenty sufficient for my CR123 batteries.

I had to shorten the size of the motion sensor plastic bit by a small amount to fit into the new case.

I also modified my motion sensors to be in debug mode which detects motion every 5 seconds, with the larger CR123 battery, battery life should be around 2.5 years.

Unmodified the battery life with the CR123 should be somewhere around 5 years.

The battery that was included with my motion sensor was a Panasonic 620mAh capacity 3v CR2450. In the alternate case I am using a 1500mAh capacity 3v Energizer 123 battery.

Note that this model does involve printing support structures, if you own an xyzprinting branded 3D printer it is significantly in your interests to use the XYZprint files as these are pre-configured with the exact print settings I used to produce my models.

Those using the STL files may need to experiment to find suitable support structures in your 3d printing software.
