create an ArcGIS dataset for a simple mapping project

I am doing some research on a particular tree species in Sydney, where they exist and opportunities where it would be good to plant them. I need help to set up the ArcGIS dataset. I have basic editing skills in ArcGIS so will continue to add the relevant trees as spot locations at a later time… (Budget: $30 – $250 AUD, Jobs: Cartography & Maps, Geographical Information System (GIS), Geospatial, Javascript)
