Lambo Gallardo Replica Can Easily Fool You… Until You Notice The Rear Seats

In the world of replica supercars, there are usually those that either look extraordinarily awful or those that are actually quite impressive knock-offs. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder in question falls into that second category.

This Lamborghini replica started out life as a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder – not that you could tell, because there are absolutely no hints of its origins.

The video below provides a detailed walkthrough of the car and rather than those beyond the project simply slapping some Lamborghini-inspired parts on the body of the Eclipse, they actually stripped the Mitsubishi right down to its unibody construction. A complete bodykit of fiberglass parts was then manufactured, the Eclipse was cut up, and then the new parts were fitted.

Quite often with projects like this, builders do very little to the interior of the donor car. Not the case here. In fact, much like the exterior, the interior was completely stripped and outfitted with Lamborghini-inspired or genuine parts. There’s similar quilted leather stitching across the door panels and seats like you’d find on a real Lamborghini. What’s more, the dashboard and center console feature buttons and switches that look like they’ve been taken out of a real Lamborghini. It’s all very impressive.

As you can probably this guess, all of this work cost a bit of money with the total project cost, including the donor Mitsubishi, estimated to be the equivalent of $16,000 – or, if you take into account the cost of renting the premises where the work was done, 3D printing etc., closer to $32,000. Is it worth it? We’ll let you be the judge of that.
