ISIS territorial aspirations, 2014.
The map was created in response to a Fake ISIS map published in 2014, that purported to show ISIS plans for the next 5 years.
This map purports to show true ISIS terrorial asperations based on offical documents and statements in 2014.
The fact their name is ISIS, or Dawlah’al Islamiyyah fi al-Iraq w’al-Sham, Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham i.e. the Levant (Lebanon, Syria, portions of Jordan, portions of southern Turkey and portions of Israel) and is in reference to a historical calpihate province, clearly illustrated that their plans was limited to parts of Iraq and the Levant.
