NEW YORK (TheStreet) —
The gold price traded pretty flat until 1 p.m. Hong Kong time on their Thursday—and then got sold down to its low about half an hour after the noon silver fix in London. It rallied from there, before running out of gas/getting capped around 11:30 a.m. EST. After that, the price didn't, or wasn't allowed to do much.
The low and high ticks were reported by the CME Group as $1,279.10 and $1,307.80 in the February contract.
