One of the most memeable moments of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the cutscene where Greez salts his food…for nearly a minute straight. I wondered if it was simply something the animators gave him to do in that moment, like maybe he forgot what he was doing in the midst of conversation, but the book Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars by Sam Maggs makes it clear that was no mistake. Greez loves salt. Cal thinks about a dish Greez has cooked called Gelatin Surprise, the surprise being salt. Greez also takes a bite of one of Cal’s protein bars later in the story, and complains that it needs salt, too. Maybe the Latero species have a natural sodium deficiency or something, I don’t know. The pilot had some stiff competition with Sergeant Salty Sharp on Crait…but I think Greez wins the prize for saltiest character in Star Wars.
