Are Amundsen map updates free? – March 10, 2023 at 10:25AM

I’m considering a new Skoda and I can’t seem to find a definitive answer if https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ can be used for free to update maps using USB flash drive?

Also, what is general opinion, is built-in navigation system worth extra ~1000EUR over Bolero with Android Auto and Google Maps? As far as I understood, the only difference in terms of navigation between Amundsen and Bolero (besides central screen size) is that built-in maps can also be shown in virtual cockpit..?
