I am creating a 3d map for printing and i have found 2 reliable ways of doing this. One involves using the blosm plugin in Blender and the other involves taking government lidar data and turning it into a 3d map.
Now, the problem i have is that the blender model is nice and sleek/smooth thanks to importing building info from Openstreetmap but lacks any detail besides buildings. The second method incorporates every detail like trees and features but due to it being based on lidar data, it’s very noisy and not as nice to look at compared to the first method.
What i’m wondering is, and i’m not sure how to even word this hence me not just going and googling it, can i possibly take/cut the parts of the lidar map that i like and impose it into the the blosm map with high detail on the buildings to hopefully achieve a single map with both properties?
I’m really new to all this and i’m a COMPLETE beginner with Blender as i typically use Fusion 360 for my modelling and i’m just looking for a little guidance with this.
TIA
