And here’s the second crazy contraption which was let loose upon the Autobots in the episode ‘Day of the Machines'” – the dangerously armed (heh heh) Wheelie Waldo which tries to grap onto to its victims to rip them apart!
Was great fun (and challenge) in figuring out how to work in the necessary articulation in its arms and fingers but it seems to have worked out pretty ok. Each of the three fingers on open hands are doubly articulated and should open wide enough to grip onto stuff. Wheelie Waldo’s arms are also ball-jointed at the “shoulder” and “elbow”.
On the back of this deadly machine, 5mm ports allow for effect parts to be used and the lower bit of the chassis sports its exhaust grills. So, pop in a couple of fiery effect parts to simulate it dashing forward!
A couple of small side canons are also built into the chasis to give this more firepower. These also rotate and fit effect parts onto its barrel
Also added a couple of 5mm port on the topsides of Wheelie Waldo”s arms, so other accessories can be pegged on top. There are also a few 3mm pegs around for effect parts to be used.
=== Assembly ===
The included diagram shows how the various components of this build and how they all go together.
As usual, all the 5mm pegs used (colored in dark red) can either be made using the 3d printable files provided, or cut to length from segments of 5mm rods.
The finger joints are pegged together using shorts bits or 1.75mm filaments, snipped to length.
===
So there we have it, the second in the series of the crazy and deadly gizmos from the “Day of the Machines”.
Happy 3d printing these for your collections! =)
