Dear all, I am working on a little 3D printed project to open and close my bedroom curtains automatically for which I have created some gears using the SolidWorks Toolbox. I’ve modified the gears to make them suitable for printing/assembly. When I add them in the project assembly they look like the modified gear and I can use the modified parts of the gear to add mates. However, when I close and reopen SolidWorks the gears in the assembly are the original, non-modified gears. The mates (obviously) give errors. I have saved the modified gears with their own names. How do I make the assembly refer to the modified gears indefinitely? Thanks in advance! LawOk submitted by /u/LawOk7038 to r/SolidWorks |
